Charities
Following a visit to Nepal in 2019 I contributed substantial funds in the period up to December 2022, first to build and then to run, the Nagarjun learning centre in Saldum Village Nepal. In 2022 I provided 8 computers, a projector and printer and funded 3 teachers, a cook and food to give each of 50 local children a hot meal every day. The web site shows the construction of the learning centre and activities in the learning centre up to December 2022. This link shows the history of the Nagarjun learning centre.
After a brief pause through 2023 to encourage Nagarjun learning centre to expand its international fundraising efforts Professor Groome renewed his funding of running costs from July 2024. This funding continues to the present and appears to be the main source of funding.
This link takes you to a web site describing the conception of the Nagarjun learning centre, its construction, purchase of equipment and services and its service to the local community. The news section is kept up to date for significant activities and projects.
